If your eSIM is active but you're not getting internet, the Access Point Name (APN) settings might be the missing puzzle piece.?
What’s an APN, anyway?
Think of the APN as the set of instructions your phone uses to connect to the internet via your mobile provider. If it’s not set up right, your data just won’t flow. No TikTok, no maps, no nothing.
Sometimes your phone gets this info automatically. But you might need to enter the APN manually. Don’t worry — it’s easier than it sounds!
How to Update Your APN Settings:
iPhone
- Go to Settings
- Tap Mobile Service
- Select your eSIM
- Tap Mobile Data Network
- Enter the correct APN settings (see list below)
- That’s it — sometimes you might need to restart your phone!
Android - Please note: These instructions may vary slightly by device or Android version.
- Go to Settings
- Tap Network & Internet or Connections
- Tap SIMs or Mobile Network
- Choose your eSIM
- Tap Access Point Names (APN)
- Tap + or Add New APN
- Enter the APN settings from the correct provider (see below)
- Tap Save (usually top-right)
- Select the new APN profile so it’s active
